The best European jazz trumpet player and one of the busiest artists on the scene, Italian Paolo Fresu is a follower of the romantic approach of Chet Baker and Miles Davis. Each year, he records a dozen albums, some under his name or as a guest to the biggest jazz icons in the United States and Europe (Dave Holland, Dave Liebman, Phil Woods, Enrico Rava…), he performs over 200 gigs a year and is an art director of two Italian festivals, as well as a leader on several seminars and courses. His legendary quintet, just like Belgrade Jazz Festival, is celebrating 30 years on the scene, by touring the biggest European festivals.
