The creator of this project is a young Belgrade photographer Ivan Grlić. While promoting a book of photographs of 70 Serbian jazz musicians, Grlić made a series of concerts all around Serbia, following which a quintet, led by pianist Aleksandar Jovanović Šljuka, continued to perform under that name. Former leader of the trio Woodcock Group, now in Serbia Jazz, Bre! group, performs a fusion of jazz and Balkan folk music, continuing the artistic mission of the legendary Branislav Lala Kovačev. The part of the program is dedicated to the new interpretation of Lala’s Balkan Impressions.
